ST PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd women's basketball team dominated on both ends of the court en route to a 85-38 victory over Rollins at St. Petersburg College on Wednesday night.Â
Eckerd was hot out of the gates, with a 22-point first quarter. Chance Bucher set the tone for the Tritons, adding 12 points shooting 4-for-5 from beyond the arc. Eckerd was able to hold the Tars scoreless for over three minutes to open the contest. The Tritons were strong defensively, only allowing the Tars to score five in the second quarter. Eckerd outrebounded Rollins 14-7 in the frame while Bucher added a steal and Jaylen Ostenson with a block. The Tritons headed into the halftime break with a commanding 34-15 favor.Â
Eckerd continued their momentum well into the second half. Bucher continued to push the pace with nine points in the third quarter, with Ostenson trailing closely behind with eight. Eckerd headed into the final quarter leading 60-26. All ten Tritons contributed points in the victory. Brynn Roggenburk, Sonja Schuch, and Martyna Kowalska all added points off the bench in the final frame for Eckerd to close the door on a 85-38 victory.Â

- Korzane also grabbed four steals. While Simon added 10 rebounds.
- The Tritons shot 43.8 percent from 3-point range. Bucher went 6-for-10 from beyond the arc.Â
