WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Eckerd men's basketball team dropped its road contest at Palm Beach Atlantic 76-61 on Saturday afternoon.
PBA jumped out to an early edge, holding between a one and two-possession lead throughout the opening 10 minutes. The Sailfish went in a 14-4 run over the next seven minutes before taking a 41-24 lead at halftime.
The Tritons went on an 8-0 run early in the second half to pull within 11 at the 15:26 mark. However, Palm Beach Atlantic pushed back out to 17-point favor a minute late. Eckerd cut its deficit down to two 11 twice more in the half, but each time, PBA stopped the EC run. The Tritons cut their deficit to eight in the final minute but were unable to make up the difference.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Koa Baker (12), Isaiah Placide (11), and Kent Garard (10) added double figures.
- Timothy Thompson nearly added a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds, while Baker finished two rebounds shy of a double-double with eight boards.
- Eckerd shot 41.4 percent from the field, while the Sailfish shot 43.8 percent.
