ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd volleyball team fell to Embry-Riddle (Fla.) at St. Pete Catholic High School on Saturday afternoon, 3-1.
Eckerd and Embry-Riddle began the game with a battle, as the Eagles barely edged out set one by a score of 25-23. The Tritons then took the second set decisively, 25-12, with the team hitting .387 in the set. In the third set, Embry-Riddle responded with a strong 25-12 win, but Eckerd didn't go down without a fight in the fourth. The Tritons kept the score close, though they ultimately fell 25-20 for the Eagles to take the match three sets to one.
