Eckerd Drops Road Contest at Embry-Riddle

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Despite three close sets, the Eckerd volleyball team fell to Embry-Riddle on the road Tuesday night, 3-0.

ERAU jumped out to a 9-2 favor in the opening frame. The Tritons went on a 7-1 run to even the score at 17-17 and later took the match to set point at 24-23. However, the Eagles edged Eckerd 27-25. EC took a 12-8 favor in the second stanza, but Embry-Riddle responded by taking an 18-16 favor before winning the frame 25-21. The final set was tight, with the teams knotted up at 15-15 before the Eagles took it.
