Five Tritons Garner to CSC Academic All-District Team Laurels

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd women's soccer team was well-represented on the annual College Sports Communicators (CSC) annual Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team, with five Tritons receiving the honor: Jillian Doerger, Rakel Holmarsdottir, Olivia Ozbolt, Melina Peloteau, and Natalie Rudman

Jillian Doerger, from Cincinnati, Ohio, holds a  3.91 grade point average in marine biology. She has appeared in 35 games over her two seasons, logging four goals and six assists. She is a recipient of the SSC Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll. 

Rakel Halmarsdattir, from Garðabær, Iceland, boasts a 3.57 GPA in business administration. She has appeared in 35 games over her first two seasons, adding an assist while contributing to nine shutouts on the backline.  She is a recipient of the SSC Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll. 

Olivia Ozbalt, from Lutherville, Maryland, holds a 3.70 grade point average in business administration. She played in 15 games this year with eight starts, scoring two goals and adding an assist. 

Melina Peloteau, from Québec City, QC, Canada, has a 3.82 grade point average in marketing and management. She appeared in 15 games with 10 starts this year while logging a goal and contributing to four shutouts on the back line, with nearly 1000 minutes played.

Natalie Rudman, from  Ames, Iowa, holds a 3.90 average in business administration. She played in 15 games with 11 starts this year, logging a goal and contributing to four shutouts on the back line, playing nearly 1000 minutes on the year.

The 2024 Academic All‐District® Women's Soccer Team, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.5  or higher in order to qualify for selection. The CSC Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
