DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Despite trailing by 30 in the second half, the Eckerd men's basketball team rallied to pull within nine late. However, the Tritons were unable to make up the difference, falling 80-70 on the road at Embry-Riddle on Wednesday night.
ERAU jumped out to a 15-8 lead to start the game. The Eagles maintained a comfortable lead before taking a double-digit lead the rest of the way. Embry-Riddle stretched its lead to 15 just before halftime before taking a 44-30 favor at intermission.
The Eagles stretched their lead to 30 (65-35) following a 21-5 run to start the second half. The Tritons responded with a 17-1 stretch to cut their deficit in half with 6:45 left. Eckerd then trimmed its deficit to nine (72-63) with 2:20 remaining but was unable to make up the difference, falling 80-70.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Koa Baker led Eckerd with 17 points, while Isaiah Placide (13), Kent Garard (12), and Timothy Thompson (10) rounded out the double-figure scorers.
- Dante Bouchard added a career-high 11 assists. His assists are the most in a single game since George Kimble added 12 versus ERAU on January 24, 2024.
- ERAU shot 50.9 percent from the floor, compared to Eckerd's 40.5 field goal percentage.
- Ollie Pasque and James LeFrance made their first appearances as Tritons.
