ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - After celebrating the careers of Eckerd volleyball's Jaida Clark, Stella Antypa, and Charlize Wittholz for senior day, the Tritons fell to Florida Tech, 3-0, at Saint Pete Catholic High School on Saturday afternoon.
Eckerd put up a strong effort against Florida Tech in their Sunshine State Conference matchup but ultimately fell in straight sets. The teams stayed within a few points of each other during the openig set with Tech holding a 18-16 favor before they went on a 7-1 run to take the opener. Despite tying the score nine times and taking the lead five times in set two, the Tritons fell just short in a tightly contested second set, 27-25. The third set was similar to the opener with the Tritons just trailing the Panthers before Tech won the match.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- With 13 kills and 10 digs, Antypa notched the 23rd double-double of her career.
- Gabi Jedrzejczak tallied 36 assists and 10 digs for a double-double.
- Michalska hit a .267 clip with 11 kills. She also added six digs.
- Sydney Williams led with 12 digs while Nyla Muskovin added 11.
- Wittholz tabbed two kills on the day.
- EC led in kills 41-38.
