TAMPA, Fla. - The Eckerd volleyball team dropped its road contest at No. 14 Tampa, 3-0, on Tuesday night at the Bob Martinez Center as the Spartans hit .382 percent.
Eckerd jumped out to an early 7-4 lead before UTampa went on 9-0 and 7-0 runs to take the first set. An 11-2 start to the second frame gave the Spartans the edge in the set. Eckerd rallied late in the final frame but was unable to make up the difference.
