ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd volleyball team fell to Nova Southeastern at Lakewood High School on Friday night, 3-0. The Tritons posted 25 kills but were hindered by 28 attack errors, finishing with a team hitting percentage of negative-.028.
Despite tying the score 11 times and forcing four lead changes, Eckerd was unable to rally back, dropping the match in straight sets. NSU controlled the opener, taking it easily. The Tritons jumped ahead early and maintained a slight lead most of the way until the Sharks used an 8-2 run to pull ahead and take the second stanza. The Tritons jumped ahead early in the final frame but NSU used a run midway throguh the take the edge and the match.
