UMATILLA, Fla. - After trading sets, the Eckerd volleyball team went back and forth with Lynn in the fifth set but ultimetly dropped the final frame by two points to fall 3-2 in Umatilla on Friday night.
The first set was tight throughout, with Eckerd using a 5-0 run late to push in front by two before going on to take set one. The second stanza was equally as tight, with the teams tied at 20-20 before Lynn took the frame. The Tritons went on a 12-6 run in the early stages of the third frame before cruising to win the set. The Knights echoed EC's performance in set four to take the stanza. The final set remained as tight as the first two, with EC and LU swapping points. Lynn took a 14-12 favor, but the Tritons forced a pair of errors to knot the match at 14-14, but the Knights added a pair of kills to take the game.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Kinga Michalska led Eckerd with 17 kills. She added 11 digs for her fourth double-double of the year. She posted six aces as well, the most in a match since Ashley Eck had seven against Florida Tech on August 27, 2022.
- Stella Antypa (nine kills, 16 digs) and Gabi Jedrzejczak (42 assists, nine digs) narrowly missed on double-doubles.
- Sydney Williams paced the defense with 17 digs.
- The Tritons had 12 aces in the match.
- Jaida Clark tallied a season-high 10 kills at a .364 percent clip. Â
