WINTER PARK, Fla. - The Eckerd women's soccer team came from behind to upset the Rollins Tars 3-2 on Wednesday night.
The Tars had the early tilt, with a strike by Briyah Drayton in the 13th minute. After trailing 1-0 at halftime, Eckerd rallied in the second half with three goals. Natalie Rudman ignited the comeback with a goal in the 59th minute, assisted by Amy Woodhead. Just two minutes after Rollins retook the lead through Briyah Drayton's second goal of the game, Eckerd responded again with Kendall Drummond finding the back of the net to level the score at 2-2.
The game-winner came in the 83rd minute when Freija Aflenzer scored, assisted by Drummond, sealing the deal for the visiting Tritons. Despite Rollins outshooting the Tritons 13 to seven, Eckerd's defense, anchored by goalkeeper Cadence Talbert, held firm. Talbert made three crucial saves, helping secure the victory.
