Tritons Fall to Eagles, 2-0

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - After nearly a month without action due to Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the Eckerd women's soccer team fell 2-0 on the road at Embry-Riddle (Fla.) on Sunday afternoon.

Both teams managed to keep the game locked down in the first half. The Tritons were only able to get off two shots in the first half. The Eagles had four but two were turned aside by the Tritons' goalkeeper Cadence Talbert to retire the half 0-0.

The Eagles began to put the pressure on the second half, scoring just five minutes into the second frame. They added to their tally in the 65th minute as Mateo picked up her third point of the day with an assist. The Tritons were unable to generate any good chances in the second half, as they fell 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.
