WINTER PARK, Fla. - The Eckerd men's tennis team fell to Rollins on the road, 7-0, on Wednesday afternoon.
The Tars (6-1, 3-0 SSC) beat the Tritons (0-4, 0-3 SSC) after earning the doubles point and winning all six singles matches.
The Tritons dropped all three doubles matches, as the duo of Christian Kearns and Jon William Karlstad came closest, falling 7-6 (7-1) in a tiebreak to the pairing of RC's Moritz Stenzer and Richard Stoiberer.
Both Batu Ataseven and Sam Walker took their opponents to three sets, but both ultimately fell. In the No. 2 draw, Ataseven began with a 7-6 (7-5) victory before falling 7-5, 10-6.In the No. 5 slot, Walker jumped out to the 6-4 lead in set one but dropped the next two, 6-3, 10-6.
The Tritons host Salem University (WV) for their Teal Out at the Bullard Courts on Thursday afternoon at 3:00 PM.
