ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - An 18-0 run to start the second half fueled the Eckerd men's basketball team to an 89-56 victory over Puerto Rico - Bayamon at the McArthur Center on Monday night.
An early 8-0 run gave Eckerd an advantage at the start. EC strung together a 14-5 run towards the end of the frame before taking a 37-27 favor at the break.
The Tritons opened the second half with an 18-0 run while keeping PR- Bayamon off the board until the 13:33 mark as Eckerd held a 28-point lead. EC continued to cruise the rest of the way for the 33-point victory.
