MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - The Eckerd volleyball team bounced back from a four-match skid with a 3-1 victory on the road at Barry on Friday night.
The first set went back and forth, with neither team able to generate much of a lead, but Eckerd took the last two points on a kill and Bucs' error to take the match, 25-23. Barry's offense was strong in the second set as they took an 11-5 start before taking the frame, 25-13. EC fell behind in the third frame but used a 13-5 run midway through the set to fuel a 25-20 win as Eckerd narrowly took the final stanza 25-22.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Stella Antypa and Seiler Hruska led the offense with 12 and 10 kills, respectively. They both nearly added double-doubles with nine and eight digs, respectively.
- Jaida Clark added eight kills and a career-high eight blocks.
- Ashley Eck led the back row with 14 digs.
- Sarah Sampson posted 24 assists and six digs, while Aleksa Curta added 16 assists.
- Eckerd posted a season-high 13.5 blocks.
