ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd volleyball team opened its five-game homestand with a dominant win over Nova Southeastern, taking the match in three sets at the McArthur Center Friday night.
After trading points midway through the first set, Eckerd went on a run of eight strength points to cap the set, winning it 25-15. An early 5-0 run and a late 5-1 stretch fueled EC as they took the second stanza 25-17. The Tritons trailed by a few points midway through the final stanza but rallied to cap the set on a 10-3 stretch to take the match 25-20.
