ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Despite three tight sets, the Eckerd volleyball team swept Florida Southern, 3-0, at the McArthur Center Tuesday night.
Eckerd had a late 20-16 favor in the opening set, but FSC rallied to take a 24-23 lead. The teams swapped points until Eckerd took the set 32-30 on a Stella Antypa kill and a Mocs' error. After a back-and-forth second frame, Eckerd used a late 4-0 run to distance themselves before taking the set 25-20. The teams stayed within a few points of each other for the duration of the third frame, but the Tritons took the match, 25-23, on an Erin Garr kill.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Antypa nearly logged a double-double with 13 kills and nine digs. She padded her stat line with an ace, solo block, and a .400 hitting percentage.
- Jaida Clark posted double-digit kills with 10. She only committed one error for a blistering .500 hitting percentage.
- Eckerd hit .289 as a squad.
- Aleksa Curta posted 26 assists, while Sarah Sampson added 18.
- Ashley Eck posted 12 digs and two aces.
- Kalli Scheoning added six blocks, with two solo.
