Tritons Dominate Tigers on the Road

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -  The Eckerd women's soccer team capped off their non-conference slate with a dominant victory over Edward Waters (Fla.). Gaby Morman and Izzy Mohr netted their first career goals en route to the 6-2 Tritons' victory on Tuesday night on the road.

Mormon wasted no time putting the Tritons on the board, giving the Tritons a 1-0 lead in the opening three minutes of the match. Spillane tallied her own in the ninth minute for a two-goal favor. Doerger scored her second goal of the season to give Eckerd some breathing room in the 21st minute. Libby Brown netted her first goal of the night in the 34th minute to try to stop Eckerd's momentum heading into the break with EC up 3-1.

Paula Gallardo Villanueva extended the Triton lead back to three with her first goal as a Triton in the 53rd minute. Mohr scored her first career goal off a feed from Brooke Bisko for a 5-1 lead five minutes later. Bisko tallied her second assist of the night on Eckerd's sixth goal by Abby Knipp in the 62ns minute.
