ORLANDO, Fla. - The Eckerd volleyball team completed a perfect weekend at the South Regions Crossover with a pair of sweeps over Montevallo (Ala.) and Alabama in Huntsville on Saturday. Eckerd didn't drop a set the entire weekend, winning all three contests 3-0.
After a back-and-forth opening set against Montevallo, EC capped the set on an 11-5 run to take the frame, 25-17. A 7-1 start to the second set fueled the Tritons to a 25-15 win before taking the finale, 25-22, for the sweep.
Eckerd fell behind late 18-15 in the second match but used a 10-4 stretch to take the frame 25-22. A 9-2 start to the second frame fueled a 25-15 win, and an 8-3 run midway through the third set gave Eckerd the sweep, 25-22.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Stella Antypa led Eckerd with 13 kills against Montevallo. She nearly added a double-double with nine digs. She also hit .321 percent.
- Erin Garr hit at a blistering .857 percent clip with six kills and no errors in the opener.
- Aleksa Curta added 21 assists and five digs against the Falcons.
- EC hit .348 in the opener.
- Seiler Hruska led Eckerd against the Charger with nine kills, while Antypa added eight.
- Antypa nearly added a double-double in the finale, adding 16 digs, while Curta missed a double-double by one dig, posting 13 assists and nine digs.
- Ashley Eck paced the defense in the finale with 22 digs.
