SAINT LEO, Fla. - After a quiet opening half, both teams scored in the second frame as the Eckerd women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw on the road at Saint Leo Wednesday night.
Eckerd pressed in the first half, outshooting the Lions 11-4. The Tritons registered seven shots inside the first 15 minutes but were unable to convert. Brooke Bisko had EC's best opportunity of the frame in the 43rd minute, but keeper Amit Beilin turned back her attempt as the teams entered halftime scoreless.
Kendall Drummond put Eckerd on the board quickly into the second period. Bisko slid a pass to Drummond running on inside the 18, where she one-time a shot that hooked inside the upper right corner for the 1-0 advantage. Cadence Talbert collected a pair of saves over the next 10 minutes to keep the Lions off the board. However, SLU scored in the 83rd minute as Alex Collighan crossed one inside the far post leading to a 1-1 draw.
