ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd volleyball team avenged an earlier season loss to the Lions in dominant fashion with a 3-0 sweep over Saint Leo on Tuesday night at the McArthur Center. The Tritons used a .311 hitting percentage in the victory.
Eckerd started the match slowly, trailing 12-8. However, after a timeout, the Tritons rallied to win the set 25-19. Eckerd jumped out to a slight lead before capping the second set on a 14-6 run to win the stanza, 25-15. Eckerd and SLU swapped points throughout most of the final set, but an Eckerd run of six consecutive points midway through the frame was the difference as EC won, 25-20.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Two Tritons - Jaida Clark (11) and Stella Antypa (10)- posted double-digit kills. The tandem also produced impressive hitting percentages with a .529 and .400 percent clip, respectively.
- Clark's 11 kills match her season-high. She padded her stat line with six blocks.
- Aleksa Curta posted a 19-assist, 10-dig double-double.
- Eckerd produced a plus-.300-hitting percentage for the third straight match and the seventh time this season.
