WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Eckerd men's tennis team fell in an SSC match at Palm Beach Atlantic, 7-0, Tuesday afternoon at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center.
The Sailfish (5-4, 2-2 SSC) beat the Tritons (4-9, 0-6 SSC) after earning the doubles point and winning all six singles matches.
PBA earned the doubles point, winning all three draws. The No. 2 pairing of Christian Kearns and Arthur de Souza Fonseca won three games but fell 6-3. Arik Suez and Eric Asakura won two matches out of the No. 3 draw.
Patel played in the No. 1 draw for the third time this season and won four games but ultimately fell, 6-1 and 6-3. Asakura won six games in the No. 3 slot but fell to Luis Eduardo Platas 6-4 and 6-2.
The Tritons host Saint Leo for Senior Day on Wednesday, April 6, at 3:00 PM.
