DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Despite shooting a blistering 62.5 percent in the second half, the Eckerd men's basketball team was unable to make up the difference from a strong Eagles' first half as the Tritons fell, 88-73, to Embry-Riddle at the ICI Center Wednesday night.
The Eagles jumped out to an early 12-4 lead and maintained an arms-length lead until a Daniel Love jumper pulled Eckerd within three, 18-15, at the 11:43 mark. However, ERAU responded to push back in front by double-digits minutes later before taking a 46-29 lead at intermission.
The Tritons opened the second half with a 12-4 stretch to cut their deficit to nine, 50-41. The Eagles responded with a 7-2 run to go back in front by 15, 60-45, with 13:59 left. Embry-Riddle maintained a double-digit favor the rest of the way for a 88-73 victory.

- Love led Eckerd with 19 points, while Gianfranco Grafals and David Swedura rounded out the double-figure scorers with 16 and 10 points, respectively.
- The Tritons grabbed 12 steals. Leonard Okiti swiped a career-high four while Love, Grafals, Swedura, and Kent Garard each grabbed two.
- Grafals went 10-for-13 from the charity stripe.
