Andi Wells was honored for her academic merit on Tuesday with a spot on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) annual Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team.
Wells, from Dacula, Georgia, boasts a 3.52-grade point average in environmental studies. She started all 14 games on the backline, recording one goal while contributing to five shutouts as the center back, including a 460-minute scoreless streak.
Over her career, she has contributed to 13 shutouts with 3,354 minutes of action.
She is a two-time recipient of the SSC Fall Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Wells now moves onto the Academic All-American ballot, which will be announced later this month.
The 2022 Academic All‐District® Women's Soccer Team, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher in order to qualify for selection. The CSC Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
