ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd volleyball team utilized a scorching .339 hitting percentage on the way to a 3-1 victory over Saint Leo at the McArthur Center Friday night.
Eckerd used a 5-1 stretch to take an early cushion before winning 25-21 on a Krysten Garrison kill. EC and SLU swapped leads throughout the second stanza, with the Lions claiming the set, 25-23, on back-to-back kills. The Tritons used a 13-1 stretch in the third frame to cruise to a 25-15 win. Eckerd used a pair of 7-2 runs in the fourth to win the match, 25-11.

- Krysten Garrison flirted with a triple-double with 41 assists, nine digs, and seven blocks.
- Simone Jackson added a career-high four aces.
- Eckerd hit plus-.300 in the first, third, and fourth sets with a .414 percentage in the third stanza.
