ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd volleyball team hit at nearly a .300 percent clip on the way to a straight sets victory over Nova Southeastern Saturday afternoon at the McArthur Center during the Tritons' Dig Pink game.
Eckerd took a slim lead throughout the opening set and used an 8-4 stretch to take the stanza 25-21. The teams swapped leads during the second frame, but the Tritons forced a pair of Sharks' errors to win the set, 26-24. The Sharks rallied back in the third frame to take a 24-22 favor, but EC rolled off four straight points to win the match, 26-24.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Joelle Coulter posted a double-double with 14 kills and 12 digs.
- Stella Antypa nearly added a double-double as well, with 11 kills and seven digs.
- Eckerd hit .519 in the third set with just one error and 15 kills.
- EC hit .295 on the day, their highest hitting percentage against an SSC opponent this season.
- Krysten Garrison added 38 assists and five blocks.
