ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd volleyball team cruised in the first two sets with an efficient offense before winning the fourth set as they topped Lynn, 3-1, Friday night at the McArthur Center.
After a tight start to the opening set, Eckerd used a 9-3 stretch to take a 21-14 favor before winning the set, 25-17. EC used a 5-1 stretch midway through the second set to take a five-point advantage and stayed in front the rest of the way to win, 25-19. The Knights opened the third stanza with a 9-4 favor and cruised for a 25-15 win. The Tritons and Knights remained tied at 7-7 in the fourth set before Eckerd went on an 18-9 stretch to take the match 25-16.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Eckerd hit .250 after the first two sets and finished with a .208 hitting percentage.
- Anna Jungjohann led EC with 15 kills, while Nyla Muskovin added 13.
- Junjohann led the team with six blocks as well.
- Muskovin hit .500, posting only two errors on 22 swings. Kalli Schoening (.429) and Krysten Garrison (.455) also had impressive hitting percentages.
- Garrison added 37 assists, six kills, four digs, and four blocks.
- Garrison moved her Eckerd career assist total to 1,632, ranking 10th all-time.
- Ashley Eck paced the back row with 13 digs.
- Eckerd and Lynn split the series, each winning at home.
