LAKELAND, Fla. – The Eckerd women's soccer team lost a nonconference road matchup against Southeastern (Fla.), 5-0, at the SEU Soccer Complex Friday afternoon.
The Fire scored two quick goals in the 34th and 39th minutes for a 2-0 lead.
Kendall Drummond had a chance to answer in the 44th minute but was met by Southeastern keeper Holly Eddins. EC led in shots on goal in the opening half, 6-4, but could not capitalize.
Southeastern added to its lead with three goals in the second half.
