ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd women's soccer team earned its third win of the season Saturday night against Lynn, with a 4-3 victory at Johnson Field in its Sunshine State Conference opener.
Tariah Miller opened things up for the Tritons just 14 minutes into the match with a razor-thin sliding finish at the bottom left corner of the net on a cross from
Kaia Senecal.

Katarina Papageorgiou and
Sierra Hudson joined the offensive party with Eckerd's second and third goals of the match in the 16th and 34th minute, respectively, as Eckerd made an early statement against the visiting Fighting Knights with a 3-0 lead just before halftime. Anniina Sankoh finally answered for Lynn just 20 seconds before the end of the first half.
The Tritons answered when a
Hudson pass split the defense and found Senecal near the penalty mark
, who beat her defender and finished the shot for the eventual game-winner in the 58th minute. Lynn wouldn't go quietly, as Sankoh added two more goals in the 66th and 69th minutes for a hat trick.
