ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - For the second day in a row, the Eckerd volleyball team breezed past its opponent in straight sets as the Tritons defeated Florida Tech, 3-0, Saturday afternoon in the McArthur Center.
Eckerd and Florida Tech swapped leads throughout the first set, with EC taking the set on an Anna Jungjohann kill and a Panther error. The Tritons used a 15-4 run midway through the second set to take a large advantage before taking the set at 25-19 on two straight kills. Eckerd jumped out to an early lead in the final frame before cruising to a 25-17 victory.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Three Tritons posted double-digit kills: Ranya Mehta (13), Joelle Coulter (12), and Anna Jungjohann (10). The trio also each hit at a .360 percent clip or better: Mehta (.360), Coulter (.476), and Jungjohann (.368).
- Coulter added 17 digs for her 11th double-double of the season.
- Krysten Garrison dished out 44 assists, three assists shy of her career-high. Her 44 assists are the most by a Triton in three sets since Shannon Ruby posted 51 on October 17, 2007.
- Daniella Russo-Lolas added 14 digs.
- Eckerd hit .294 as a team.
