ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd volleyball team used an efficient offense, with a plus-.300 hitting percentage and 17 aces, for its third consecutive straight-sets victory, as the Tritons topped Rollins, 3-0, Tuesday night at the McArthur Center.
The Tritons cruised in the first set, 25-17, thanks to 10 service aces in the frame. EC used an 8-2 run midway through the second stanza on the way to a 25-19 victory. Eckerd rolled off 11 straight points midway through the final set to take the match at 25-12.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Joelle Coulter led Eckerd with nine kills, while Ranya Mehta and Asya Harris followed with eight and seven kills, respectively.
- Coulter nearly missed out on a double-double adding 16 digs.
- Eckerd's 17 aces in the match tie for the most since September 30, 2017, at Barry. Coulter led the team with a career-high six aces, while Tiana Bello also posted a career-high of five.
- Coulter's six aces are the most by a Triton since Dana Dull also had six at Florida Southern on October 22, 2019.
- Both Mehta and Harris were flawless with their attack, committing no errors, as they posted .667 and .538 hitting percentages, respectively.
- Garrison added 30 assists, five digs, and four kills.
- Eckerd hit .354 in the match, marking the eighth time this season they have hit above .300.
- Eckerd takes the series sweep of Rollins and has won its last seven meetings against the Tars.
