ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd volleyball team cruised past Barry, 3-0, Friday night at the McArthur Center.
Barry started the match with a 7-2 lead, but Eckerd used a run of six straight points to take a slight favor. EC maintained a slim lead the rest of the way before taking the first set at 25-21 on a Rachel Wisian and Anna Jungjohann tandem block.
The Tritons took an early lead in the second frame, but Barry quickly evened the score as the teams remained within two points of each other the rest of the way before Eckerd took the set, 26-24. The teams swapped leads throughout the final set before Eckerd rolled off five straight points to go up 24-19 before winning the match 25-22.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Ranya Mehta led EC with 11 kills. She only committed one error on 22 attempts for a .455 hitting percentage.
- Jungjohann followed with eight kills, without any errors to hit at a .533 percent clip. She also added six blocks.
- Wisian, Agata Sklepik, and Joelle Coulter each added seven kills.
- Krysten Garrison dished out 32 assists.
- Coulter led the defense with 10 digs while Daniella Russo-Lolas added eight.
