BOCA RATON, Fla.- Despite an early Tritons' lead, Lynn responded with a pair of runs at the end of the first half and to open the second as they defeated the Eckerd men's basketball team, 89-58, in its SSC opener Saturday night at the de Hoernle Sports & Cultural Center.
Eckerd used an early 6-0 run to pull ahead by seven at the 14:19 mark in the first half. The Tritons held a sight favor over the next six minutes before the Knights evened the score. LU ended the half on a 12-4 stretch to take a 35-27 lead at the break.
The Knights continued their scoring run, opening the second half with 13 straight points. Lynn maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the way for the victory.
