ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Eckerd women's soccer team suffered an overtime loss, 2-1, Saturday night against Sunshine State Conference opponent Rollins at Johnson Field.
Hajar Benjoud buried a shot for her team-leading fourth goal of the season, collecting a rebound from
Aisling Spillane's shot that hit the crossbar to create the opportunity in the 17th minute. Rollins was on the attack for most of the opening half, outshooting the Tritons 8-2. Despite being outshot, Eckerd took a 1-0 lead into the second frame.
The Tars scored an equalizer just nine minutes into the second half off a header from Tayla Duffy.
