Eckerd Drops Road Match at No. 16 Palm Beach Atlantic, 4-2

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Eckerd women's soccer team fell to No. 16 Palm Beach Atlantic, 4-2, in its final regular-season road match of the season Saturday night at the Rinker Athletic Campus.
 
The Tritons opened the match with a quality scoring chance in the third minute off a shot by Kaia Senecalbut it was denied by PBA keeper Rachel Neumann. PBA's Serena D'Anna opened the scoring in the 22nd minute for a 1-0 Sailfish lead. EC drew a corner kick in the 24th minute, and Aisling Spillane converted with a header in the box to equalize at 1-1. PBA added another goal in the 25th minute, by Ansleigh Crenshaw, for a 2-1 lead.
 
The Sailfish controlled most of the second half, outshooting the Tritons 11-4. They added two goals in the second half: Crenshaw in the 61st minute and Sydney Cromwell in the 75th minute to take a 4-1 lead. Tariah Miller added a goal in the 79th minute to pull the Tritons within two, but Eckerd was unable to complete the comeback.
