ORLANDO, Fla. - Despite rallying to take the second set against the Chargers, the Eckerd volleyball team ultimately fell in four sets to Alabama Huntsville on the final day of the South Region Crossover Saturday afternoon.
UAH used a series of 5-0 runs in the opening set to distance themselves early before taking the set, 25-22. The Tritons and Chargers swapped leads throughout the second frame, but Eckerd forced an error and added a Joelle Coulter kill to win the set, 26-24. UAH cruised throughout the third (25-13) and used a large run midway through the fourth (25-20) to take the match.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Ranya Mehta led EC with 15 kills.
- Joelle Coulter nearly added her second double-double of the weekend with nine kills and 16 digs.
- Nicki Bechtold led the Triton defense with 21 digs, three off her career-high.
- Krysten Garrison nearly missed a double-double as well, with 30 assists, seven kills, and seven digs. She only recorded one attacking error for a .429 hitting percentage.
- Today was Eckerd's first matchup against UAH since 2015.
