MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - After Barry took the opening set, the Eckerd volleyball team responded to take the second. However, EC ultimately fell, 3-1, in a road match at Barry's Health & Sports Center Saturday afternoon.
BU used an early 9-1 run to control the first set before taking it at 25-19. Eckerd responded to take an early 4-1 lead in the second set and held on to its slight advantage the rest of the way to take the set, 25-23.
The Buccaneers erased an early Tritons' lead to take a 21-17 favor in the third set. However, Eckerd responded to even the score at 22-22. The teams then traded points before Barry took the third, 31-29. In the final set, the teams stayed within two points of each other before BU rolled off three straight points to take the match, 25-23.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Joelle Coulter posted her eighth double-double of the season and second in as many days with a game-high 16 kills and 14 digs. She also added three aces.
- Cecilia Robert recorded her first career double-double with a career-high 14 kills and 10 digs.
- Krysten Garrison collected 47 assists. She also added six kills and five digs.
- Anna Jungjohann recorded double-digit kills with 10.
- Nicki Bechtold paced the defense with a career-high 24 digs.
