MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Eckerd volleyball team capitalized on its efficient offensive attack against Florida Tech Friday night, beating the Panthers in straight sets at the Charles and Ruth Clemente Center.
After EC jumped out early in the first set, FIT rallied to even the score at 15-15. However, Eckerd responded with four straight points before taking the set at 25-22. The Tritons jumped out to a slight edge in the second set before using a run of six consecutive points to win the second set, 25-18. EC cruised in the final set (25-19) to take the match.

NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Joelle Coulter posted her seventh double-double of the season with 14 kills and 10 digs. She also hit at a blistering .591 percent clip with only one error.
- Eckerd hit .411, its second-best mark of the season.
- Rachel Wisian also recorded double-digit kills with 12.
- Cecilia Robert nearly posted a double-double with nine kills and 15 digs.
- Krysten Garrison collected 39 assists while adding five kills and five digs.
