ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Despite a few quality looks on goal early in the first half, the Eckerd women's soccer team ultimately dropped a conference match against Tampa, 2-0, Wednesday night at Johnson Field.

KEY MOMENTS
- Hajar Benjoud gave Eckerd a quality look on goal in the third minute with a shot fired to the top right corner, but Tampa keeper Megan Bromwell was there for the save.
- The Spartans had a good chance in the 31st minute. After a tackle in the box, UT was awarded a penalty kick, but the shot missed wide right.
- Benjoud gave the Tritons another chance in the 36th minute, but again her shot was turned back.
- Following a series of corner kicks in the 39th minute, Cara Zimmerman took two shots, but both missed off frame as the teams entered halftime scoreless.
- A red card was shown to Serena Lewis causing the Tritons to play a woman down in the 70th minute, and the Spartans broke the stalemate soon after. Libby Wissman collected a ball that tipped off Casey Winn's fingers and fired a shot into the right side for the go-ahead goal in the 75th minute.
- The Spartans threatened in the 80th minute with two consecutive shots, but both times Winn was there to make a diving stop.
- UT added to their score in the 82nd minute as Lisa Caprara sent in a pass from the endline to the top of the box where Ashley Loeza shot it to the right side.

- Tampa held a 19-5 advantage in shots and 8-2 favor in shots on goal.
- Winn collected six saves in goal for Eckerd.
