MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - The Triton men's tennis team saw its season come to an end on Saturday with a 6-1 loss at No. 1 Barry University.
The Tritons (8-9, 0-8 SSC) were competitive in all three doubles matches but couldn't score a win as Barry took the first point.
Alasdair Knox and
Prakrut Patel sufferea a narrow 7-5 loss at No. 1 doubles to Blake Bayldon and Filip Zupancic while
Sam Walker and
Alejandro Vucanovic were edged at No. 3 doubles, 6-4, by Martin Gutierrez and Daniel Ventura.
Patel scored his 11th win of the season at No. 4 singles, recovering after dropping the first set to Flavio Matteoli 6-1. Patel won the second and third sets by 6-3 margins.
Barry (17-1, 8-0 SSC) clinched the SSC regular season championship with the win.
