LAKELAND, Fla. – The Eckerd volleyball team completed the season sweep of Florida Southern with a straight-sets victory Tuesday night at Jenkins Field House.

Final: Eckerd 3, Florida Southern 0 (25-14, 25-23, 25-20)

KEY MOMENTS
- Florida Southern jumped out to an early 10-3 lead before Eckerd went on a 6-1 run to pull within two at 11-9. EC followed by rolling off 11 straight points behind the serve of Dana Dull to take a commanding 21-12 lead with Dull serving four aces during the stretch. The Tritons capped the set at 25-14 with an Asya Harris kill.
- The Tritons jumped out to an early 7-2 lead in the second set. Eckerd maintained a comfortable lead over the next stretch before the Moccasins used an 8-2 run to pull within two points at 18-16. EC pulled back out by five following a Luana Rezende ace at 23-18. The Mocs managed to pull within one late at 24-23 before Eckerd forced an attack error to take the set at 25-23.
- The first half of the final set remained tight as neither team was able to generate more than a two-point lead before four straight Sarah Johnshoy kills gave Eckerd a five-point lead at 19-14. The Tritons distanced themselves at 23-16 and took the match at 25-20 on an Agata Sklepik kill.
NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Sklepik led Eckerd with a double-double of 14 kills and 14 digs. Sklepik only committed one attacking error for a .500 hitting percentage.
- Dull served six of EC's eight aces in the match. Her six aces where the most in a match since Kaitlyn Sibson also served six on October 20, 2017.
- Eckerd completes its first season sweep over Florida Southern since 2013.
