ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.- The Eckerd women's soccer team scored in the final minute Wednesday night but dropped an SSC contest, 2-1, to Florida Southern at Johnson Field.

KEY MOMENTS
- Eckerd threatened early as Siobhan Longmore's header off a Lauren Yudin corner kick missed wide in the fourth minute. The Tritons followed minutes later recording three shots in a 90-second span starting in the eighth minute. However, none of the shots could find the back of the net.
- Florida Southern got on the board first in the 26th minute after Cali Larson worked around a defender in the box and shot to the low right post for the goal.
- The Tritons nearly equalized late in the half as Sophia Kopko's header off Paula Astiazaran's corner was turned back by Mocs keeper Tori Routt in the 40th minute.
- Longmore gave the Tritons another two quality looks in the 65th and 68th minutes but Routt was there for the save both times.
- Caitlyn Lowery added to the Mocs' score in the 75th minute. Casey Winn came out to clear a through ball, but Lowery hustled in and deflected the clearance. She gathered the ball and shot into the left corner of the empty net.
- The Tritons surged late, scoring with less than a minute left. Taylor Fu headed a pass to Astiazaran inside the box who headed it into the upper left corner. However, EC was unable to get another shot before time expired.
NOTES AND NUMBERS
- Eckerd held a 20-13 advantage in shots and 9-6 edge in shots on goal.
- Longmore registered 10 shots, which is the most shots by a Triton in a game this season.
- Winn collected four saves in goal.
