ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Following a busy first week back after Hurricane Irma that included conference-opening contests, the Tritons turn around for another week of tough SSC matchups. Men's and women's soccer will be home this week while volleyball and sailing will travel.

* Eckerd (4-2, 0-2 SSC) dropped a pair of hard-fought matches over the weekend to No. 4 Palm Beach Atlantic, 3-0, and Rollins, 3-2. The Tritons look to bounce back as they have three conference road matches this week starting Tuesday at Florida Southern. They also travel to Nova Southeastern and Barry on the weekend.

Paula Hoffmann leads the Eckerd offense with 86 kills on the season. Hoffmann set new career highs over the weekend with 17 kills against PBA and again with 23 kills Saturday against Rollins.
Abbie O'Ferrell also tops Eckerd's attack with 46 kills on the season and 4.60 kills per set but is currently sidelined due to an injury.

Kaitlyn Sibson leads the Tritons' defense with 112 digs including a season-high 26 against Rollins on Saturday. Sibson also tops the conference with 5.60 digs per set.
Arielle Erillo sets the tone at the service line with 12 aces and leads the conference in aces per set with 0.63.
* Florida Southern (5-5, 2-0 SSC) is coming off conference wins over Tampa and Lynn. Nicole Mattso leads both the Mocs and the conference with 145 kills. Anna Tovo is their second-leading attacker with 119 kills, third in the conference.
* Nova Southeastern (4-2, 2-0 SSC) opened conference play with wins over Embry-Riddle and Florida Tech. Denvyr Tyler-Palmer tops the Sharks' attack with 124 kills, second in the conference. The defense is led by Megan Burns with 134 digs.
* Barry (3-1, 1-1 SSC) is coming off a 1-1 weekend losing to Embry-Riddle and defeating Florida Tech. Jaeda Allen leads the Buccaneers with 42 kills and 54 digs.
* Last season, Eckerd beat Nova Southeastern in both matches and split with Florida Southern and Barry.

* Eckerd (1-4, 0-2 SSC) lost a pair of tight contests last week, dropping the conference opener to Tampa, 1-0, on Wednesday and losing to Florida Tech on Saturday, 2-0. The Tritons will host Embry-Riddle on Wednesday and travel to Lynn on Saturday.

Stephanie Linton has provided the majority of the team's offense with six goals which tops the conference as well. She also leads the conference in shots (25), shots per game (5.00), points (12), points per game (2.40), and goals per game (1.20).

* Lynn (3-3, 1-0 SSC) enters the week coming off a big overtime win over then-No. 22 Embry-Riddle on Saturday. Gabriela Moreira leads the Knights with four goals, while keeper Alexa Downie leads the conference with 33 saves.
* Last season, Eckerd beat Lynn at home, 2-0, and lost to Embry-Riddle on the road, 3-0.

* The Tritons (2-3, 0-2 SSC) enter the week on the heels of two tough losses, dropping a tight contest in overtime to Tampa, 3-2, before losing to Florida Tech, 4-1. Eckerd will travel to Embry-Riddle on Wednesday before hosting No. 4 Lynn on Saturday.
* Eckerd's attack is led by
Robert Labus and Juan Tejada. Labus leads Eckerd with four goals and is tied for second in the conference in goals, but is currently sidelined due to injury. Tejada has three goals and one assist on the season with a goal in each of the last two games.

Alex Gott leads the conference with 22 saves.
* Embry-Riddle (1-3, 0-2 SSC) enters the match coming off two tight losses to Saint Leo (2-1 in double overtime) and Lynn (1-0). Alex O'Brien and Daniel Gylfason lead the Eagles' offense each with one goal.
* Lynn (5-0, 1-0 SSC) enters the week undefeated after beating Embry-Riddle to open conference play. Alun Webb leads the Knights with four goals and one assist while goalkeeper Alexander Roth has posted five clean sheets.
* Last season, Eckerd tied with Embry-Riddle and lost to Lynn both in the regular season and in the SSC semifinals.

* Eckerd returns to the water after a strong weekend taking first place at the SAISA South Points #3 on Sunday and placing second at the SAISA South Points #2 on Saturday.

Tatiana Chinitz led Eckerd in the A Division finishing with 21 points on Sunday.
* The teams have a busy weekend spread out over three locations, with the women's team competing in the SAISA Women's Championships in St. Petersburg and the coed squads traveling to Gainesville and New London, Connecticut.
MEN'S/WOMEN'S TENNIS
Friday-Sunday: The Panther Invitational | Melbourne, Fla.
* The Triton tennis teams head to Melbourne to take part in the annual Panther Invitational hosted by Florida Tech. The men's team returns a pair of sophomores, Will Stone and Matt Spasic, who were all-conference selections in doubles last season. On the women's side, junior MaryAnn Aaron led the team in singles victories last year and paired with Bailey Koronich for the team lead in doubles wins.
