HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tritons struggled with turnovers early in the game, giving the ball away four times in the first five minutes and seven times in the opening quarter.  As a result, the Bucs were able to stay step-for-step through the first 10 minutes as the lead changed hands 10 times.  A 3-pointer by CBU's Sara Owen gave her team the lead with 2:18 to go in the period, but Dallas Dickerson answered with a 3 to put Eckerd on top, 13-12, at the end of the quarter.
- After Christian Brothers took an 18-15 lead, the Tritons went on a 15-3 run over the final 6:17 of the first half. Â Brooke Juday got things started with a 3-pointer, followed by two triples from Kacie Juday as part of 10 unanswered points. Â CBU pulled within three before Ada Yalcin drained a 3-pointer and Kacie Juday turned a steal into a layup just before the end of the half to give the Tritons a 30-22 lead.
- Eckerd started slowly in the third quarter, going scoreless for the first three minutes, before breaking out and triggering a 15-3 run that essentially put the game out of reach for Christian Brothers. Â The burst was capped by nine unanswered points and ended with a 3-pointer by Chelsea Johnson from the left corner that gave EC a 45-26 lead.
- The Tritons stretched their lead to as many as 22 points early in the fourth quarter following back-to-back layups by Armi Anttila. Â CBU cut the deficit to 14 on two occasions before Eckerd cruised to a 67-50 win.
