DEFENSIVE BATTLES: All four of Eckerd's matches this season have been defensive battles, each contest finishing with a 1-0 final score. Only one goal has been scored in the first half of the four matches combined.
WINN EARNS HONOR IN DEBUT: Freshman goalkeeper
Casey Winn played a major role in the team's defensive success with two clean sheets in her first three collegiate starts. Her performance earned the Fort Myers native Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors, the first for an EC player since Morgan Crescent in October 2014.
ABOUT GEORGIA GWINNETT: The Grizzlies are off to a hot start with four straight wins after dropping their season opener. GGC hasn't allowed a goal in its last three matches, including a 7-0 win over Life (Ga.) and an 8-0 win over Brewton-Parker (Ga.).
ABOUT FLAGLER: The Saints haven't been in action much early in the season, although rain did erase one of their schedule contests. FC won its opener at home over Catawba (S.C.) in overtime, 3-2, and will head to Miami to face Barry (Fla.) on Friday before coming back up the coast for Sunday's match with Eckerd.
