ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd softball team heads across the state for a three-game weekend series with SSC provisional member Palm Beach Atlantic with a single game on Friday and a double-header on Saturday.

STREAK ENDS AT NINE: Eckerd extended its winning streak to nine games last weekend with wins over Newberry (S.C.) and Tuskegee (Ala.) before falling to Flagler (Fla.) in walk-off fashion to close out the Flagler Invitational.
DOUBLING UP: While the Tritons haven't displayed the home run power of years past, they certainly has shown gap power so far. As a team, Eckerd has totaled 24 doubles and three triples. Sophomore
Rachael Luckett leads the way with seven doubles while
Chelsea Armstrong has four.Â

Nikole Van Gennep each have three.
TOP-HALF PRODUCTION: The top half of the Eckerd lineup has been very productive thus far with four hitters batting .324 or better.Â
Carrie Shere is hitting .341 in the leadoff spot and is tied for the team lead in RBIs with Luckett with 10. Luckett (.421), Van Gennep (.395) and Duncan (.324) have also been hot at the plate.
STAYING PERFECT: Sophomore pitcher
Janna Gaburo stayed unbeaten on the season last weekend, extending her record to 4-0 with a win over Tuskegee in relief on Saturday. She also leads the pitching staff with a 0.95 ERA.
ABOUT THE SAILFISH: After enduring a seven-game losing streak, the Sailfish have rolled off four straight wins heading into this series. Kayla Knight is the team's top hitter, batting .382 with a .522 on-base percentage. Rachel Hill (1-4, 1.93 ERA, 27 K) and Nikki Brinegar (1-2, 2.18 ERA) provide a solid one-two punch in the circle.
