WOMEN'S SOCCER GAMEDAY: Tritons Visit Florida Southern for Non-Conference Contest

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Triton women's soccer team faces Florida Southern for the second time this season, taking on the Mocassins in a non-conference contest tonight at 7:00 PM in Lakeland.

GAME 16: Eckerd (6-7-2) at Florida Southern (1-6-1) | 7:00 PM | Lakeland, Fla.

LAST TIME THEY MET: A torrential downpour midway through the first half resulted in a lengthy delay and wet conditions when the two teams met in St. Petersburg on September 21.  FSC got a goal from Anna Griessler in the 32nd minute for what proved to be the only one of the match as the Mocs scored a 1-0 win.  The first meeting was part of the conference schedule; tonight's will be a non-conference contest.

WIN OVER LYNN: The Tritons picked up a 2-0 victory over Lynn University on Saturday, breaking a string of four consecutive overtime matches.  Olivia Ross-Johnson scored both of EC's goals, bringing her season total to seven which is tied for fourth in the conference.  Casey Winn, meanwhile, recorded her fifth clean sheet of the season, tied for first in the SSC.

ABOUT THE MOCS: Tonight's match marks the first in a five-match home stand to close the regular season for Florida Southern.  Scoring goals has been a problem this season for the Mocs, who enter tonight with only four goals scored on the season and no more than one goal in any match.  However, FSC has been very good defensively allowing an average of 1.38 goals per match with no opponent scoring more than twice against them.
