SETTING THE STAGE
Southeastern (2-0) has picked up two wins in rather dominating fashion to open the season, beating Bob Jones (S.C.), 3-1, and Florida College, 5-0.  Eckerd took a 1-0 lead late into its opening match on Friday against Colorado Christian, but a late goal by the Cougars equalized the match.

LAST TIME THEY MET
Despite being 62 miles apart, Eckerd and SEU have never faced off before in women's soccer.  Tonight will mark the first-ever matchup between the two programs.

SCORING FIRST
Junior Monique Elliott recorded her third career goal on Friday when she finished off a ball centered to her in the box in the 58th minute.  Elliott has scored all three of her career goals in her last 10 outings.

NARROW MISSES
The Tritons out-shot Colorado Christian, 14-5, in the season opener and had several chances that they couldn't quite turn into goals.  There were some narrow misses on those chances, including a 25-yard shot by Abby Sanchez that hit the left post.

BALANCED ATTACK
The Fire have scored eight goals in their first two matches, and they have come from seven different players.  Senior Bre Eldridge is the only player to net two goals so far.  She also leads the team in shots (11) and shots on goal (10).  Overall, SEU has out-shot its opponents, 44-13.

BUSY START
Tonight's game is the second in a series of five straight home matches to start the season.  Eckerd plays again on Thursday, hosting Palm Beach Atlantic at 7:00 PM.
