MIAMI SHORES, Fla.
– Sunshine State Conference and South Region play resumed for the Eckerd College men's tennis program on Saturday, falling against the fourth-ranked team in the nation in Barry University on Saturday, 9-0.

The Tritons (0-4, 0-4 SSC) contested the unbeaten Buccaneers (5-0, 4-0 SSC) with a different look in the rotation and a close doubles result.

In his first dual this season, EC transfer Luke Burton pushed Barry's Dominic Bisceglia in the opening set, 7-5, before falling in the second, 6-1, in the No. 6 singles matchup.

Prior in the match, Burton and senior Dylan Randazzo battled Barry's duo of Marco Mokrzycki and Eduardo Alfonzo to an 8-5 final to highlight doubles action.

The Tritons will briefly step out of conference play to host Chestnut Hill (Pa.) College on Tuesday afternoon at the Turley Athletic Complex beginning at 3 p.m.
