Men's Tennis Closes Season at SSC Championships

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – The Eckerd College men's tennis team closed out the 2011 season with a 5-0 loss to Florida Southern on Saturday in the Sunshine State Conference Championships fifth-place match.

 

The Mocs (13-8), ranked 24th nationally, took the three doubles points before claiming wins at No. 3 and 4 singles.

 

The Tritons finished the year with a 7-14 record and were ranked nationally throughout the spring. Eckerd is currently ranked No. 43 overall.

 

Seniors Ben Maxwell and Hisa Sato are currently ranked 20th nationally in doubles.
